I have never seen Morgan Heritage live in concert. So I was eager for this event to pop off since I have heard so much about their stage show. It was worth the wait. I was very impressed with the crowd for a Sunday concert. To be honest, I was not expecting a good turn out but was very pleased to see the size of the crowd. The Houston massive did not disappoint. The massive was very impressive. The early juggling was done by the Mikie Faith crew and SuperGold. They kept the crowd bubbling with a nice rinse of tunes. The opening act for Morgan Heritage was none other than Houston's own reggae artist, Major Riley, backed by Yard Band . He ran through a set of his tunes and warmed up the crowd for the main event. It was time for the Morgan family to pull up the vibes and from the beginning to the end, it was nothing short of spectacular. They ran through their classic tunes from Don't Haffi Dread all the way to Reggae Bring Back Love. The night wouldn't have been complete for me if they did not perform their newest tune named She's Still Loving Me. Out of all their tunes, that tune might turn out to be their biggest hit to date. It has been running the place in Jamaica and hear state side in New York and Florida for a couple of months. When they performed that tune, that was the highlight of my night personally. I think the tune that was loved by the massive the most was the one and only Down by the River. There was a huge response by the crowd for that tune. And Gramps Morgan had the ladies balling forward and eating out of his and the Morgan family's hand. That is one extremely talented family. I must say I do have one complaint. The sound quality was less than professional at times, but that was do to the venue and not the Morgan family. But regardless of the minor distraction, Morgan Heritage pulled it off flawlessly. Big up the Houston crew for another tremendous showing. I must recommend that the massive make sure that they check out the latest offering from Morgan Heritage. There newest album was just released two weeks ago and is titled Three in One. Get familiar with it. It is a wicked piece of music. One last thing before I go, I want to acknowledge the diversity of the crowd. It is nice to see reggae music reach so many cultures. Reggae music is truly for all of the world and many cultures to enjoy. Reggae Bring Back Love.
