Hands down, this was one of the most magical shows I have ever seen in my life massive. I don't even know where to begin in describing it. So much happened at this show. The show kicked off with an introduction to the Firehouse Crew band. Then the vibes really started when the massive was introduced to the legendary Jamaican saxophonist Dean Frazier. The power of his talent overwhelmed the Houston massive and fans through money at him while he performed. He played a rendition of Bob Marley's Redemption Song and just blew the massive away and had them at his mercy. Then we were introduced to Mikey General. He performed a few songs and then it was time for the main event. Luciano was presented to the audience. He came out in his Rasta Warrior gear, his Asian hat, and his staff. He came out to a Nyabinghi drum based riddim, as he chanted "No night in Zion, there is no night there........" and from there, it was non stop magic. He sang his classic tunes like Messenger, Sweep Over my Soul, Lord Give me Strength, Never Give Up my Pride, One Away Ticket, It's Me Again Jah Jah. It seemed like the night did not want to end, and I don't think the massive wanted it to either. Luciano was so amazing, he even treated the massive to an acoustic solo. He killed the massive with an acoustic solo of again, Bob Marley's Redemption Song. There were many highlights besides this acoustic solo, but for me, it was when Luciano sang the classic tune by Peter Tosh named Legalize It. The riddim, his voice and the massive made this the highlight for me. In this one tune, Luciano was able to sample two other reggae herb anthems. His back up singers dropped a small line from Bob Marley's Easy Skanking as they chanted "Excuse me while I light my spliff." Then towards the end of the tune, he asked the massive who remembered the great Jacob Miller, and then did Jacob's trademark calling and then ran through a line of his tenement yard weed anthem. That is what did it for me. The massive was very active and very receptive. It was another night of magic in Houston. The crowd and the vibes were beautiful. It was just a night of Jah and love. To sum it up massive in one word, it was WICKED! I don't think I can ever forget this show. Big up to CB Plumbing and Supergold promotions. Without you, this night wouldn't have been possible. Big up SuperGold, Sugarnotch, and Peacemaker for rinsing the tremendous piece of Sizzla's Solid as Rock that unnu had to pull up 4 times to rahtid. I never saw the massive get so hype for dem tune deh. Reggae ah tek over. Massive, Bless Up! Post Your Comments or View Pictures
